gta Digital
About

The field of architectural history is currently undergoing fundamental changes towards new, digital research methods and technologies. While data driven research approaches, machine-learning based research technologies, and even artificial intelligence technology more and more become available to the field, both national and international funding agencies increasingly require open access to findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable research data (fair data principles).

The gta Digital strategically establishes expert knowledge of advanced digital research methods and technology. In collaboration with internal research projects and archives, it develops state-of-the-art research environments that allow the development and use of advanced methods and technology in digital research. The gta Digitals mission is to combine the expertise of specialised research groups and, hence, to enhance the visibility and accessibility of highly specialised research data within the scholarly community and beyond.
