Joel Spiegelberg is Data Curator at the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (gta), Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich.
He earned his bachelor degree in Art History and Modern History with a thesis on Jeff Wall and is currently enrolled in a master’s program for Art History and Modern History at the University of Zurich. He worked as a tutor and student assistant in the field of modern and contemporary art at the Institute of Art History in Zurich. Besides, he worked at the Kunsthaus Zurich, at the Collection Centre of the Swiss National Museum and in the Archives of Contemporary History at the ETH Zurich. His fields of interest are digital art history, curation, archival turn, post-colonial studies and in philosophy.
